From entrepreneur to corporate and back
Executive Summary
Over my career, I've moved between corporate leadership roles and entrepreneurship, carrying invaluable learnings from one path to the other.
I started as a contract designer, which evolved into Hungry CC, a design and development studio that was acqui-hired a year later. From there, I spent over a decade leading design and product teams at companies like eSapiens and OLX Europe, creating products used by millions across the globe.
Now I'm back to entrepreneurship with Sidekick Leadership Mentoring and a new EdTech venture launching in 2026.
Co-founded with Luiza Sequeira, Sidekick delivers tailored mentorship programs for ICs, managers, and emerging leaders in Design, Product, and Tech.
After individually mentoring hundreds of people throughout our careers, Luiza and I realized that many organizations fail to provide the proper support required to develop new leaders. Addressing this pain, Sidekick's mentors work closely with each mentee on their specific challenges and opportunities for their growth.
Since 2024, we are taking in new mentees and scaling the business at a sustainable pace, consistently growing our revenue and operations every quarter.
Early in my career, I took on many contractor opportunities in pursuit of additional income beyond my daily job, dedicating long nights and weekends to extra work.
Freelancing helped me land projects with local startups, big advertising agencies, and global brands.
Some notable projects from that time include: designing Fiat Club's customer relationship platform, Shell Brazil's Interactive Infographic for their 100th anniversary, Natura's Campus Portal, and Creative & Art Direction for global giants like Ambev, Pernod Ricard, and P&G.
After years in that solo path, my engineer friend Julio Scarpelini and I co-founded Hungry CC, a Design & Development Studio merging our independent solo careers into a single structured business.
Together, we served some of the largest brands in Brazil such as Whirlpool and TV Globo.
I led design, strategy, and sales, driving the studio through client prospecting, project management, and design for web, apps, and social media.
After just a year in business, our studio was acqui-hired by one of our clients at the time, starting my corporate leadership journey at companies such as eSapiens and OLX Group Europe.
On a personal note, during the Covid-19 pandemic I reconnected with my musical side and set a goal to write, produce, and release music.
I learned from scratch a new set of skills and tools that took me from completely clueless to (a somewhat) capable composer and producer.
In 2023, I released “Purpose”, my first EP under my musical alias This Is Mars. Sicen then it became my artistic B-side, a hobby that keeps challenging me to stay creative and brings me tremendous joy.
